Tour Highlights
Hamachan knows Ishigaki's ocean inside out. He reads the wind and tide each day to take you to the best spot. Choose a kayak or SUP and set off on a 15-to-20-minute cruise to a quiet beach far from any tourist crowds.
At the beach, you'll observe tropical fish darting right at your feet. Hamachan will teach you the names and habits of each species — perfect material for a school project. He'll photograph everything with a waterproof camera, and all the data is yours to keep.
On the way back, Hamachan picks up his sanshin and plays traditional Okinawan island songs on the beach. The blend of waves and sanshin strings creates a moment of pure luxury. With a cold drink in hand, soak in the "real time" of Ishigaki. Since it's one group only, you set the pace.
Tour Itinerary
- Meet & Briefing (15 min) - Gear up with life jackets and learn how to paddle. Beginners and children are welcome — instruction is thorough and patient.
- Set Off by Kayak / SUP (20 min) - Glide over water so clear you can see coral and fish on the seabed. Hamachan paddles alongside you the whole way.
- Free Time on a Secret Beach (60 min) - Snorkel with tropical fish, collect seashells, or simply relax on the sand. Plenty of time for photos.
- Sanshin Live & Drink Time (30 min) - Sit on the beach and enjoy Hamachan's live sanshin performance — Okinawan folk songs and originals. Relax with a cold drink.
- Paddle Back & Farewell (20 min) - Leisurely paddle back the way you came. With more confidence this time, you'll enjoy the scenery even more.
