This tour is all about catching plenty and eating together. Instead of targeting trophy fish, we focus on float fishing that lets even small children reel in lots of fish. The thrill when the float dips is irresistible for kids and adults alike.
Hamachan reads the day's wind, waves, and tides to pick the optimal species and location. Ishigaki's waters are home to parrotfish, rabbitfish, needlefish, and many other delicious Okinawan species. He'll take you to secret spots only he knows.
The real highlight comes after the catch. Filleting the fish, starting a fire, seasoning — everything is a first. Hamachan shows you the tricks while you do it with your own hands. The entire cycle from catch to plate is an unforgettable experience for the whole family, and a powerful lesson in food education for children. You can also take home any extra fish if you like.
Tour Itinerary
- Meet & Head to the Spot (20 min) - Greetings at the meeting point. Hamachan selects the best fishing spot based on wind, waves, and tide, then drives there.
- Fishing Lesson & Start (20 min) - Hands-on instruction from setting up the float rig to baiting the hook. Explained in a way kids can understand.
- Fishing Time (60-90 min) - The whole family fishes for seasonal catches. Hamachan advises on the best spots and timing. You'll catch so many you won't get bored.
- Filleting & Island Cooking (30-40 min) - The part you can't do in everyday life. Hamachan demonstrates the technique, then you fillet and cook island-style dishes with your own hands. First-timers welcome — he'll support you every step.
- Island Meal Time (20-30 min) - Savor the meal you caught, filleted, and cooked yourself. The sense of achievement is something no restaurant can replicate.
- Clean-Up & Farewell - We handle the clean-up. Photo data will be sent later. Take home any extra fish if you wish.
